The area around Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci is characterized by a unique terriroty in the world, with a very favourable microclimate, thanks to the sea nearness and the protection of the lying behind woody hills: it is the foundation of high quality wines production, famous all over the world.

The farm holidays ‘La Rondine’ takes its roots in a strip of land of 18 hectares, on the sea-level, between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, property of Sgariglia family. Nowadays are picked by hand 6 vineyards hectares with east-west exposure, obtaining in this way at maturation a rare product. Grapes working takes place in a craft method, with modern vinification techniques.

Since 2004 produces red wine IGT (typical geographical indication) able to become DOC (of controlled origin), called SGARIGLIA and destined to be commercialized in 0,75 cl bottles, after an ageing in steel vats.
At the moment Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are in refinement in oak barrels and will be put on the market in 2006.
